3.0 Your Personal Information
When you use the GBAGEDE mobile application, we collect information sent to us by your computer, mobile phone or other electronic access device. If you choose to sync your phone contacts, we will access and collect information such as names, phone numbers, and email addresses, the pages you access, username, password, computer IP address, e-mail address, telephone number, device ID or unique identifier, device type, geo-location information, computer and connection information, mobile network information, statistics on page views, traffic to and from the sites, referral URL, advertising data, and standard web log data and match that information against existing users of the Platform.
We process the content you post on the Platform, including videos, comments, hash-tags, feedback, reviews, and live-streams, along with relevant metadata such as creation time, location, and creator details (“User Content”). Even if you’re not a user, details about you may be present in User Content generated by Platform users. We collect User Content during creation, import, or upload, regardless of whether you save it, or not.
We may access content, including text, images, and video, found in your device’s clipboard, with your permission. For example, if you choose to initiate content sharing with a third-party platform, or choose to paste content from the clipboard into the Platform, we access this information stored in your clipboard in order to fulfill your request.
We may also collect information you provide us including but not limited to: information on web form, account update information and correspondence with GBAGEDE support services. We also collect information about your purchase or payment transaction, such as payment card information, billing, delivery, and contact information, and items you purchased. We also collect your bank account name and numbers and link it up to your GBAGEDE account. Information obtained through survey responses, telephone conversations, customer enquiries and other means may also be used by us.
We collect information you provide when you compose, send, or receive messages through the Platform’s messaging functionalities. These include messages you send or receive through our chat functionality when communicating with merchants who sell goods to you, and your use of virtual assistants when purchasing items through the Platform. That information includes the content of the message and information about the message, such as when it was sent, received, or read, and message participants. Please be aware that messages you choose to send to other users of the Platform will be accessible by those users and that we are not responsible for the manner in which those users use or share the messages.
We may also use information provided by third parties like social media sites and verification agencies. If you choose to share your social network contacts, we will collect your public profile information as well as names and profiles of your social network contacts. Information provided by other sites are not controlled by GBAGEDE and we are therefore not liable for how it is used.
4.0 What we do with your personal information
The purpose of collecting your personal information is to improve, support and administer the Platform and give you an efficient, enjoyable and secure customer experience. We may use your information to:
- create your accounts, verify your identity or age, and give you access to the app;
- identify and suggest connections with other Gbagede users
- enable user-to-user communications;
- provide technical support and respond to user inquiries;
- deliver and target advertising
- to infer additional information about you, such as your age range, gender, and interests
- notify users of updates 0n Gbagede site;
4.8 provide in-app leader boards and promote player activities;
- to provide you with location-based services, such as advertising and other personalized content;
- solicit input and feedback to improve Gbagede’s products and services and customize your user experience;
- inform users about new products or promotional offers’; we may also send promotional e-mail messages and promotional SMS messages (“Promotional Communications”), directly or in partnership with our affiliates and trusted third parties. Each Promotional Communication will generally offer recipients choices about receiving additional messages
- engage in commonly accepted practices, such as contacting you at the email address we have on file if you are a potential winner
- leverage User Content as part of our advertising and marketing campaigns to promote the Platform, to invite you to participate in an event, and to promote popular topics, hashtags and campaigns on the Platform.
- manage risk, promote safety, or to detect, prevent, and/or remediate fraud or other potentially prohibited or illegal activities;
- detect, prevent or remediate violations of policies or applicable user agreements;
- improve GBAGEDE’S Services by implementing aggregate customer preferences, in order to resolve a dispute, fulfill requests for products, services, Platform functionality, provide support and information for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical, and survey purposes and to solicit your feedback or as otherwise necessary to service your account;
- measure the performance of GBAGEDE’S Services and improve content, technology and layout;
- manage and protect our information technology infrastructure;
- support the social functions of the Platform, including to connect with each others (for example, through our Find Friends function) and to share whether you are active on the Platform (and other information which you choose to share) with your friends;
- help us detect and combat abuse, harmful activity, fraud, spam, and illegal activity on the Platform.
- For the foregoing purposes, among others, we may contact you at any time through your provided telephone number, email address or other contact details;
If you have provided your e-mail address to Gbagede, we will use it to respond to (i) customer support inquiries, and (ii) keep you informed of your in-app activities, including comments from friends, notifications about competition status. Some messages, such as, invites for friends to join you in a app may include your name and profile photo.
When you ask for assistance from our Customer Support team, we will collect and store the contact information you provide (generally your name and e-mail address), information about your in-app activity on the Gbagede app, and your user ID number. We will also store the correspondence and any information contained within.
The Gbagede mobile application will not request for your Personal Identification Number (PIN) or Bank verification Number (BVN).
5.0 How long we keep your information?
The retention periods depend on different criteria, such as the type of information and the purposes for which we use the information. For example, when we process your information such as your profile information, we keep this information for as long as you have an account with us. If you violate our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or other conditions or policies, we may remove your profile and User Content from public view immediately, but may keep other information about you to process the violation.
You may be able to refuse or disable Cookies by adjusting your device browser settings. Because each browser is different, please consult the instructions provided by your browser. Please note that you may need to take additional steps to refuse or disable certain types of Cookies. For example, due to differences in how browsers and mobile apps function, you may need to take different steps to opt out of Cookies used for targeted advertising in a browser and to opt out of targeted advertising for a mobile application, which you may control through your device settings or mobile app permissions. In addition, your opt-out selection is specific to the particular browser or device that you are using when you opt out, so you may need to opt-out separately for each of browser or device. If you choose to refuse, disable, or delete Cookies, some of the functionality of the Platform may no longer be available to you.
7.0 How we protect your personal information
We store and process your personal information on our computers located in Nigeria, Africa and elsewhere in the world where our facilities are located. We protect your information using physical, technical, and administrative security measures to reduce the risks of loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure and alteration. Some of the safeguards we use are firewalls and data encryption, physical access controls to our data centers, and information access authorization controls.
8.0 How We Share your information with other Relevant Parties
We share your information with the following parties:
8.1 Business Partners
During your session on our website, we may provide the corresponding party with information such as your name, account identification details, contact details, or other information needed to promote the integrity and security of the of any payment interface.
If you choose to allow a third-party service to access your account, we will share certain information about you with the third party. Depending on the permissions you grant, the third party may be able to obtain your account information and other information you choose to provide.
8.2 Service Providers and Merchants
We work with third parties, including merchants, to enable them to accept or send payments from or to you using Gbagede. If you choose to conduct other payment related transactions, we will share data with the relevant payment provider to facilitate this transaction. In doing so, a third party may share information about you with us, such as your email address or mobile phone number, to inform you that a payment has been sent to you or when you attempt to pay a merchant or third party. We use this information to confirm that you are a GBAGEDE customer and that such payment interface as a payment and collection platform can be enabled. We also validate your status as a GBAGEDE website users to third parties on your instruction.
When you make a purchase, we share the information related to the transaction with the merchant, payment and transaction fulfillment providers, and other service providers. For example, we will share the contact details and delivery information so your order can be processed. These entities may use the information shared in accordance with their privacy policies.
8.3 Independent Researchers
We share your information with independent researchers to facilitate research that meets certain criteria.
8.4 For Legal Reasons
We will share your information in compliance with local or international regulatory requirements, fraud prevention and risk management agencies, public authorities or other organizations, if legally required to do so, or if such use is reasonably necessary to:
- comply with legal obligation, process or request;
- enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements, policies, and standards, including investigation of any potential violation thereof;
- detect, prevent or otherwise address security, fraud or technical issues; or
- protect the rights, property or safety of us, our users, a third party or the public as required or permitted by law (including exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction).
8.5 Public Profiles
Please note that if your profile is public, your content will be visible to anyone on the Platform and may also be accessed or shared by your friends and followers as well as third parties such as search engines, content aggregators and news sites.
8.6 Sale, Merger or Other Business Transactions
We may also disclose your information to third parties:
- in the event that we sell or buy any business or assets (whether a result of liquidation, bankruptcy or otherwise), in which case we will disclose your data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets; or
- if we sell, buy, merge, are acquired by, or partner with other companies or businesses, or sell some or all of our assets. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.
You accept that your pictures and testimonials on all social media platforms about GBAGEDE can be used for limited promotional purposes by Blackhouse or its agents. This does not include your trademark or copyright protected materials.
From time to time we may send you relevant information such as product updates, new functionalities, tips on how to use the platform and new service offerings.
9.0 SMS Notifications, Push Notifications & Local Notifications
We receive and store the information you provide, including your telephone number, when you sign up to have SMS notifications sent directly to your mobile phone. These messages notify you of a app activity and may allow you to play the app from your phone. You can adjust the types of notifications you receive and when you receive them by editing your SMS notification settings.
With your consent, we may send push notifications to your mobile device to provide app updates and other relevant messages. You can manage push notifications from the “options” or “settings” page within the relevant app. You may also be able to manage them from your device’s settings page for the relevant app. We may send local notifications to your mobile device to provide app updates and other relevant information. You can manage local notifications from the “options” or “settings” page within the relevant app.
10.0 Communications Features
You may be able to take part in certain activities on our websites or apps that give you the opportunity to communicate or share information not just with Gbagede, but also with other users of our Service. These include:
- participating in player forums and message boards
- posting public comments to other users’ profiles or appboards
- sending private messages or invitations to other users, either directly on our websites or to their e-mail accounts
- chat with other users
- posting videos
We may record and store archives of these communications on Gbagede’s servers to protect the safety and wellbeing of our users and Gbagede’s rights and property in connection with the service. You acknowledge and consent to the recording and storage of such communications for these purposes.
Gbagede implements reasonable security measures to protect the security of your information both online and offline, for example, by encryption, and we are committed to the protection of user information.
We will always hold your information securely. To prevent unauthorized access to your information, we have implemented controls and security safeguards at the technical and operational levels. For user accounts registered directly with Gbagede, profile information is protected by the password each member uses to access their online account. It is important that you protect and maintain the security of your account and that you immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account. If you forget the password to your Gbagede account, the website allows you to request that instructions be sent to you that explain how to reset your password. Also, any data transmitted during the session will be encrypted before transmission and decrypted at the receiving end. This is to ensure that data cannot be read during transmission. When you sign into your account or enter payment information (such as a credit card number when purchasing virtual currency), we encrypt the transmission of that information.
While we take reasonable precautions against possible security breaches of our websites and our customer databases and records, no website or Internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, hacking, data loss, or other breaches will never occur. We urge you to take steps to keep your personal information safe (including your account password), and to log out of your account after use. If your Social Media site account is hacked, this may lead to unauthorized access to the Gbagede app, so be careful to keep your account information secure.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information over the Internet is not completely secure. Although we strive to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data while it is being transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. 12.0 Safety and Compliance with Law
Your information, and the contents of all of your online communications (including without limitation chat text, voice communications, IP addresses and your personal information) may be accessed and monitored as necessary to provide the Service and may be disclosed: (i) when we mandated or required to disclose the information in response to a legal process (for example, a court order, search warrant or subpoena); (ii) to satisfy any applicable laws or regulations (iii) where we believe that the Service is being used in the commission of a crime, including to report such criminal activity or to exchange information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction; (iv) when we believe that there is an emergency that poses a threat to your health and/or safety, another person or the public generally; and (v) in order to protect the rights or property of Gbagede, including to enforce our Terms of Service.
13.0 Data Confidentiality Rights
You have rights and choices when it comes to your information. Client information is regarded as confidential and will not be divulged to any third party except under legal and/or regulatory conditions. You have the right to request for copies of all information we keep on you, provided that you give us reasonable notice of such a request. While Blackhouse is responsible for safeguarding the information entrusted to us, your role in fulfilling confidentiality duties includes but is not limited to, adopting and enforcing appropriate security measures such as non-sharing of passwords and other platform login details.
14.0 Our Policies Concerning Children
Our websites and apps are not intended for children under the age of 15 years and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from under-aged children. Parents and guardians of under-aged children are required to supervise the access of their children to the internet and digital content. Gbagede shall not be liable for user contravention. In the event that such contravention of our user policy is disclosed, any uploaded content will be promptly erased. Gbagede will take reasonable measures to promptly erase such information from our records.
15.0 Links to Other Websites
Certain transaction processing channels may require links to other websites. Please note that Blackhouse is not responsible for and has no control over third party websites. We do not monitor or review the content of other party’s websites which are linked from this website. Opinions expressed or materials appearing on such websites are not necessarily shared or endorsed by us, and Blackhouse should not be regarded as the publisher of such opinions or materials. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices, or content of any third-party sites and we encourage our users to read the privacy statements of these sites. You should evaluate the security and trustworthiness of any other site connected to this site or accessed through this site yourself, before disclosing any personal information to it.
We will, from time to time, include links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that Blackhouse will not accept any responsibility or liability for any loss or damage in whatever manner, howsoever caused, resulting from your disclosure to third parties of personal information.
We reserve the right to modify our Policy at any time and without any prior notice to you. Your continued access to or use of the Platform after the date of the updated policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
